The Third International Conference on Public Health and Data Science (ICPHDS 2024) Successfully Concludes in Zhengzhou
On November 23, 2024, the Third International Conference on Public Health and Data Science (ICPHDS 2024) was successfully held in Zhengzhou, Henan. The conference brought together experts and scholars from various regions in the fields of public health and data science to explore and exchange the latest research findings and practical experiences in these key areas.
The conference consisted of a series of keynote speeches and oral presentations, offering rich and inspiring content. In the keynote session, Professor Zulqarnain Baloch from Kunming University of Science and Technology delivered an opening talk titled "Confronting Antimicrobial Resistance: A Global Call to Action for Sustainable Development." In his report, Professor Baloch deeply analyzed the issue of antimicrobial resistance and called for action from scholars in relevant fields to promote sustainable development.
Following this, Professor Yu Songcheng from Zhengzhou University presented a thought-provoking study on "Vitamin D and the Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes." Professor Yu's report emphasized the potential role of Vitamin D in diabetes prevention, providing new scientific evidence for clinical preventive measures.
Subsequently, Professor Witold Pedrycz from the University of Alberta in Canada delivered a presentation titled "New Horizons of Machine Learning: Pursuing a Unified Data - Knowledge Environment." In his talk, Professor Pedrycz explored the latest developments in machine learning within the context of integrating data and knowledge environments, painting a future outlook for attendees in this field.
After the keynote presentations, the conference moved into the oral presentation session. Six scholars from various academic institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan University, and Hangzhou Normal University, were invited to give oral presentations. Their exceptional talks covered various aspects such as public health policy, data analysis tools, and their applications in disease prevention, sparking intense discussions and enthusiastic responses from the participants.
The atmosphere of academic exchange was vibrant at the venue, as delegates actively engaged in discussions and shared research insights and experiences during the breaks between presentations. This face-to-face interaction not only strengthened connections among scholars but also laid a foundation for future collaboration.
